The courses are nationally-recognised Level 3 qualifications designed to prepare adults to study in higher education. Courses are designed, in particular, for people who have been out of education for some time, especially those who left school with too few qualifications to be able to go straight to university. Access to HE courses provide a good foundation in the knowledge and skills required for studying at university level so that students are confident and well prepared when they go on to higher education.

Our English for Speakers of Other Languages courses will improve English reading, writing and speaking skills, equipping students with the necessary skills to further their employment and life in the UK.

You will learn to apply your newfound skills in different contexts, such as Business, Citizenship and everyday life, improving job prospects and further academic potential. As well as reading, writing and speaking, you will work on your mathematics and IT skills, helping you to grow your skillset.

Apprenticeships for Adults
Adult apprenticeships are not a separate category of apprenticeships, but a term used to refer to apprenticeships for people aged 19 or older.

There is a wide range of free courses available to study at Level 2 and some at Level 3. These courses are completely free* to eligible learners and are assessed by a variety of written assessments. Courses are studied online to fit around your lifestyle, work patterns, and other commitments. Our Adult English courses develop the skills required to read, write, speak, listen and communicate at an appropriate level. You will learn to apply these skills effectively to a range of purposes in the workplace and in other real-life situations.

Our Adult Maths courses teach the underpinning skills and basics of mathematics at an appropriate level. You will learn to apply mathematical thinking to solve problems in familiar situations.

You will learn in a class of fellow adults with similar skills, and in similar situations, to you. You will learn from professional, experienced tutors and have access to our facilities, including libraries and learning resources.
