Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems

This qualification is for practising electricians. Learners must hold one of the following:

• A qualification and assessment of competence underpinning core technical competence for work in dwellings from Table A4.7 of the EAS Qualifications Guide, such as: o EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings (610/1335/3) and AM2D o EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification (610/3326/1) and AM2E

OR

• A qualification and assessment of competence underpinning core technical competence from Table A4.8 of the EAS Qualifications Guide, such as: o EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (601/7345/2) and AM2S o EAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) (501/1605/8) and AM2 o EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification (603/5982/1) and AM2

OR

• A current ECS Gold Card as a Domestic Electrician, JIB Electrician, or Approved Electrician.

You must also be conversant with inspection and testing and the wiring regulations. Holding relevant qualifications in BS 7671 and inspection and testing can demonstrate this.
