Staff and students at Milton Keynes College Group are celebrating positive GCSE results today.

517 young people who resat their English and maths GCSEs achieved grade four or above, enabling them to go on to further study and therefore supporting them with pursuing their chosen careers.

Harry Knight studied Health and Social Care at the same time as resitting his maths GCSE.  He is now considering a career in the care sector.  He says “I felt really well supported and that I could interact in class by putting my hand up, unlike in school where I wouldn’t.  The teachers really helped me with understanding my assignments.”

Sally Alexander MBE, CEO and Group Principal at Milton Keynes College, commented: “We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our students this year. The maths and English qualifications they have worked so hard to gain are key to unlocking future opportunities in education and employment, and these results reflect their determination, resilience and commitment. We are incredibly proud of their success and would also like to recognise the dedication of our talented staff, whose encouragement and expertise have helped our students achieve their goals.”
