Course overview
Are you keen to expand your hairdressing skills? Is your goal to become a qualified barber and maybe even running your own business one day? This course will give you an excellent grounding to do just that.
What will I do?
The areas covered in this course include:
- Cutting men’s hair
- Cutting men’s facial hair
- Client consultation for hair services
- Following health and safety practice in the salon
The course will also build your communication skills and confidence working with clients.
What’s next?
You can progress to one of the following:
- Employment in a barbershop
- Level 3 Barbering either at college or as an Advanced Barbering Apprentice

For this course, you must have a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing.
