You will develop these skills by improving your knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions, the principles of mental health first aid, and how to implement them effectively in the workplace.

  • Understand a Mentally Healthy Environment (D/617/8270)

What’s next?

You could advance to additional qualifications, such as a Level 2 Award in Awareness of Dementia or a Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of End-of-Life Care.

This qualification is designed for individuals seeking knowledge without the necessity of work or industry placement experience, as it is solely based on knowledge.

Entry requirements

While there are no specific entry requirements, you should have at least a minimum of level 1 in literacy and numeracy or an equivalent qualification.

After you submit your initial assignment, an assigned assessor will evaluate and grade your work. You can access both your feedback and assignment outcome online.

You’ll be assessed internally with external quality checks. To pass, you need to show that you’ve met all the specified learning outcomes outlined in the qualification document.

You’ll learn on your own schedule, without mandatory Zoom or Teams calls. You should plan to spend around 6-10 hours per week on your studies.
