We provide a social and relaxed environment and aim to help you progress in a way that is suited to you.

What will I do?

You will learn to prepare and present a variety of nutritional dishes in a safe and controlled environment. You will be encouraged to put forward your ideas about what to serve and how to serve it. You will conduct market research to find out what your customers are looking for. You will develop vital independent living skills in the workplace, learning how to work on your own and with a team. You will also develop customer service and hospitality skills, preparing you to take your career to the next step.

What’s next?

On achieving your Catering and Hospitality qualification, you may choose to progress to an Entry Level 3 qualification. Alternatively, you could progress onto the New Horizons course, which is ideal if your main aim is to move onto a Level 1 course, but perhaps you’re not quite ready. You will learn what academic work will be expected of you, start to adapt to the College lifestyle and the new surroundings. You could also move on to a supported internship.

Is it for me?

Are you good with people? Do you have a passion for all things food and drink? You can turn your Catering and Hospitality passion into a career, working at your own pace in a safe environment. If you want to do more things on your own, learn new skills and meet new people, this course could be your stepping stone to independence and a career.
