MK College sports academies
All of our academy students are studying the specifics of their sport. MKC provides talented students with the opportunity to access professional, high-quality sports coaching alongside studying at an excellent further education institution.
Women’s football
New for 2022-23, Milton Keynes College are recruiting 16-19 year old females to study full-time within Further Education, alongside being a part of a competitive football programme in partnership with MK Dons Women.
Previously our talented female students have been a part of the male training programme and have been supported whilst they playing at local high-level clubs.
Upon completion of her studies, former student Eden Washington, left MKC with a scholarship to play football at college in the USA. Current student Gemma Whitchurch has also received scholarship offers to play in the USA, starting in the academic year 2023-24.
Partnerships:
MK Dons Women – FA Women’s National League Southern Premier, Step 3 of the Women’s Football Pyramid. Three students are currently involved in the MK Dons Women’s set-up.

- Video analysis
- Team and Individual Strength and Conditioning programmes
- Fixtures against top-level academy professional clubs

Men’s football
Established in 2017, the MKC Men’s Football Academy has been growing year on year, now with Category 1-3 teams and a Development Squad. The Category 1 team represent MKC in the ECFA Premier League, the highest level of college football.

MK Irish – Providing a pathway for students to progress from junior football to senior fixtures in Step 5.
MK Irish U18s – As part of the MKC and MK Irish Partnership, the MKC coaching staff manage the MK Irish U18s team in Floodlit League.
