Extra curricular sport
MKC Active’s main aim is to get as many MKC College students involved in Sport as possible. We believe in the benefits of being involved in Sports, especially for our students’ Physical, Mental, Emotional and Social wellbeing. We have a dedicated Sports Development team who run a series of programmes for us.

Inclusion Hubs
In September 2020 MKC was recognised as an AoC Sport Inclusion Hub. As part of this commitment, MKC gives learners with disabilities equal access to opportunities to be physically active and lead healthy lifestyles by:
- Providing opportunities for disabled and SEN learners to participate in physical activity on a regular basis.
- PAN-Disability Football Team competing in local tournaments.
- Upskilling inclusive learner ambassadors to help create an active culture in Prep for Work and Life.
MKC Activators
MKC Activators encourage students not currently taking part in sport to increase their physical activity and to have fun doing so. It is their responsibility to deliver fun and informal sessions whilst gaining valuable sport development and coaching experience. It also encourages development of key workplace skills, such as teamwork, organisation, communication and timekeeping.
