Course overview

This short introductory course is designed to help you understand what Artificial Intelligence (AI) is and how it can be used in everyday business. You will explore the benefits of AI, as well as the legal and ethical issues to be aware of. The course also gives you practical experience of using Generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to support business planning, marketing, communication and project planning.

What will I do?

You will begin by learning the basics of AI and how it is used in business. You will then explore important legal and ethical considerations.

After this, you will get hands-on experience using AI tools and learn simple ways to write prompts to support:

Business planning
Marketing
Communication
Project planning

Learning is practical and focused on real-world business use.

If you would like to study AI in more depth, this course can help prepare you to progress to the BCS Foundation Certificate in Artificial Intelligence.
