In our Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 Certificate in Management and Leadership course offers a practical perspective on management. You will explore effective models, understand why people behave the way they do, and learn strategies for managing change. We’ll address questions such as: Is managing a team the same as leading one? How can I develop my skills while encouraging growth in others? Am I prepared to advance to the next level of management? All this and more will be explored throughout this programme.

Course Structure:
The program is divided into two key units, each focusing on critical aspects of management and leadership:
- Principles of Management and Leadership
- Managing a Team to Achieve Results
Learning Experience:
Benefit from dynamic, interactive learning experiences designed to foster deeper understanding and retention of material.
Attend fortnightly face-to-face lessons, supplemented by online on-demand home study in between.
Home Study:
- Dedicate approximately three hours weekly to home study, reinforcing classroom learning through assignments, reading, and self-reflection.
- Access online resources and support materials to assist with your studies.

What’s next?
Upon successfully completing the Diploma program, you may be eligible to apply for Chartered Manager status, and we are here to assist you with that process. Additionally, you may wish to further your ongoing personal and professional development by completing further CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Leadership.
Is it for me?
This course is flexible to suit you. Our students benefit from experienced lecturers through classroom-based teaching as well as the flexibility of online learning.
How much will I have to study each week?
Online delivery so working at their own pace outside of college through some of the modules. Attendance at monthly workshops (half day/all day depending on module).
How will my progress be monitored?
Regular meetings with the course tutor to support your progress throughout your programme of study. The workshops will give you valuable time face to face with your tutor as well.
How will I be assessed?
There will be a written assignment for each module. You will receive written feedback to help you continue to develop your written skills.
What is online and on campus
We have partnered with Mindful Education to deliver this course through our Online and On Campus model.
Online video lectures are available on demand, and can be viewed from your phone, tablet or computer. Lessons last for around 45 minutes and are accompanied by animations and motion graphics to bring concepts to life. Exercises, interactive case studies and analytical tools help to enhance the learning experience further.
On campus, you benefit from regular college classes – without having to commit to attending multiple evenings each week. Experienced tutors will discuss and reinforce what you have learnt during your online study and are on hand to provide guidance on progress and assessment. Discussion and debate with classmates will help you apply theories to situations you face in the workplace.
