UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Music Performance & Production
What will I do?
With fully-equipped rehearsal studios, performance spaces and industry-standard resources, you will focus on your chosen instrument, growing your skills and learning new techniques to become a well-rounded musician.
You will cover all aspects of the music industry, from learning to compose and arrange different styles of music, researching and understanding musical styles and influences, to gaining music technology and production skills.
As well as developing performing and technical skills, you’ll take part in masterclasses, studio shows, regular live gigs and Q&A sessions with industry guests.
What’s next?
There is so much more to the music industry than you would think. You could go on to study a university-level qualification in music or a related subject such as music technology, song writing or professional music performance.
Our course focuses on preparing you for work in the industry or moving into further study. You may want to take a different path and go into teaching, so that you can share what you’ve learnt and inspire others in music.
Is it for me?
If music is and always has been your passion, a career in it can be incredibly rewarding and enjoyable. You should be skilled in at least one instrument or vocals, and be eager to develop those skills. Dedication is key, as is the desire to pursue a career in the music industry.
You must be able to work well in a team and be passionate about your chosen instrument. You don’t need to be a formally trained musician, but you do need to be able to play your instrument to a reasonable standard, or be able to demonstrate a passion for music technology and production.
