Welcome to the Next Level: A new choice for after GCSEs.
T Levels are a brand new, 2-year qualification that will give you a head start towards your future, bringing classroom learning and an extended industry placement together on a course designed with businesses and employers.
What are T Levels?
» Equivalent UCAS points to A Levels – T Levels offer a vocational alternative to courses such as A Levels, BTECs & apprenticeships, allowing students to gain the equivalent amount of UCAS points.
» Industry Placement – Students will complete a 45 day or more work placement to equip them with the necessary skills that employees need.
» 80% Classroom, 20% work – The balance of work done in the classroom and on the job enables students to put their learning into practice, while employers find future talent.
Why choose T Levels?
Designed with Leading Businesses
T Levels have been designed with leading businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills you need.
More than 200 businesses – including Fujitsu and Skanska – have been involved so you can be confident your T Level will move you to the next level.
Awarded UCAS points
Your T Level will be worth UCAS points – a T Level Distinction* is worth the same as 3 A Levels at A* – and will be recognised by universities and other education providers so you can choose to continue studying if you wish.
Get ahead in your career
T Levels give you the chance to learn what a real career is like while you continue your studies with an industry placement lasting at least 45 days.

when do placements start?
Placements will start in the first year of the T Level dependent upon student readiness and securing a placement.
WHEN DO STUDENTS FIND WHICH PLACEMENT THEY HAVE? CAN THEY CHOOSE THEIR OWN EMPLOYER?
Students can approach employers and if they meet the health & safety, insurance and other criteria we can support the student and the employer to set up an industry placement. The College will also work with employers to provide industry placements that are open for application. Students generally will have to apply for these with a CV and may have an interview to ensure there is a match between the student and the employer.
