These courses can be taken as a bundle of 3 qualifications covering small-scale solar photovoltaic (SPV) installation, electrical energy storage systems for dwellings, and electric vehicle (EV) charging point installation or each qualification can be studied individually.

This course is fully funded by Santander, for applicants living or working in Milton Keynes, or those working for an employer based in Milton Keynes. Proof of eligibility required.

Course overview
These courses can be taken as a bundle of 3 qualifications covering the installation of small-scale solar photovoltaic (SPV) systems, electrical energy storage systems for dwellings, and electric vehicle (EV) charging points or you can choose to complete each qualification individually.
Taking the bundle offers a cost saving compared to enrolling on the courses separately, but it does require a commitment to completing all three qualifications in sequence.

What will I do?
This course is for practising Electricians and will allow you to develop knowledge and skills in a range of in-demand green skills, obtaining formal recognition required by industry accreditation schemes.

After completing this course you will have the knowledge and skills to install and commission a variety of green technologies.
Is it for me?
This course is aimed at competent Electricians who have already obtained relevant electrical competence qualifications, and who wish to upskill further and gain recognised formal qualifications in the installation and commissioning of green technologies.
Entry requirements
This qualification is for practising electricians. Learners must hold one of the following:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
- Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
- Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
- Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification
- Level 3 EAL Building Services Engineering
- Electrotechnical Installation
- ECS Gold Card for a Domestic Electrician, JIB Electrician, or Approved Electrician Card
In addition to having one of the qualifications listed above, you must also hold a relevant qualification in BS7671 and be conversant in inspection and testing. All learners must be at least 18 years old.

How will my progress be monitored?
This course is taught over several days, where your progress will be continuously monitored with feedback provided as required.
After completing the course you will then have a variety of assessments.
How will I be assessed?
Each qualification includes online assessments to show knowledge, understanding, and practical assessments to evidence competence.

- Evidence of residency and employment in Milton Keynes may be requested, one of the following will be accepted: a driving licence, utilities bill or bank statement
