College Group’s HE and Professional Qualifications students celebrate their graduation
More than 50 students from Milton Keynes College and the South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) attended MK College Group’s 2025 Higher Education (HE) Graduation ceremony.
The event was held on Tuesday 2nd December at the Stables Theatre in Milton Keynes. The graduates received their certificates for achieving their HNCs, HNDs and professional qualifications, which were presented to them by Milton Keynes College Group’s Chief Operating Officer, Jason Mansell and Group Director for the SCIoT, Adults and HE, Laura Black.
Joining in the celebrations were the graduates’ families and tutors, as well as the Milton Keynes Deputy Mayor, Paul Trendall, the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Countess Elizabeth Howe and the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Pippa Kirkbride. The celebration included an afternoon tea prepared by the College’s Catering and Hospitality students, and musical performances from Performing Arts and Music learners.
The ceremony included a greeting from Sally Alexander, CEO and Group Principal of Milton Keynes College Group and an inspiring speech from Deputy Mayor for Milton Keynes, Paul Trendall. The Deputy Mayor’s speech covered topics such as resilience, staying connected to learning and following your passions. There were also fantastic performances from Performing Arts and Music students Evie Barbes, Jared Provan and Luca Brown throughout the ceremony.
Sally Alexander, Group Principal and CEO of Milton Keynes College Group, said: “It was an honour to celebrate our graduates and their achievements at this very special occasion alongside their loved ones. This year’s graduates will have juggled work, family and other commitments alongside their studies with us, showing that it’s possible to succeed with hard work, dedication and the support of those around you. I’d like to thank our learners for being part of our community at MK College Group and wish them every success for the future.
