Course overview
The BSc (Hons) Applied Computing Top-Up Degree allows you to build on your existing Foundation Degree and achieve a full undergraduate qualification in just one additional year. This program provides a multi-disciplinary approach to digital technologies with three clear strands in cyber security, data analytics and software development with the intent to provide a rounded set of cross-functional skills.
What will I do?
You will study advanced and emerging areas of computing, developing both specialist knowledge and professional research skills. Teaching combines workshops, lectures, collaborative projects and independent investigation.

After completing the BSc (Hons) Applied Computing Top-Up Degree, you can progress into postgraduate study or graduate-level roles across the technology sector.
Many students choose to apply through UCAS for an MSc in Computing, Data Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence or Software Engineering. Others move directly into employment within the IT and digital industries.
