What will I do
A Graphic Design course will help you to develop your technical and creative skills, whilst also focusing on your future career. As part of your course you will:
- Learn to use industry-standard software, including Adobe Suite, which will be required in the workplace
- Work on real live projects and design briefs
- Choose from a variety of work experience opportunities, such as with local printers or media marketing companies
- Have the chance to exhibit your work at the end of year Summer Showcase
- Learn from teachers with solid industry experience, who will share their wealth of knowledge and contacts
- Be surrounded by like-minded peers, who are just as passionate about their Graphic Design course as you are
As part of your graphic design course, you’ll work on live briefs and undertake work experience. This will not only help you build industry contacts but also enhance your portfolio of work, which will be crucial to show off your skills to future employers or clients.
Most Graphic Design roles require a Higher Education qualification, so you could progress on to the HNC or HND here at the College after this Graphic Design course or go to university.
