Course overview

Leading with Purpose: The Sustainable Leadership and Management Programme is a six-week, practice-based course focused on ethical, responsible and sustainable leadership.

The programme combines leadership theory with practical tools aligned to recognised management frameworks. You’ll explore how leadership behaviour shapes culture, sustainability, engagement and long-term organisational impact.

Learners will also complete a DISC behavioural and communication profile and receive a 30-minute one-to-one coaching session to support self-awareness and leadership development.

What will I do?

Over 6 weeks, you’ll take part in interactive sessions that combine discussion, practical activities and reflective learning. The focus is on developing confident, responsible leadership skills that support people, performance and sustainability.

You’ll cover:

  • Understanding leadership and management through a sustainability and ethical lens
  • Applying values-based leadership, integrity and accountability
  • Using inclusive leadership behaviours to support engagement and wellbeing
  • Coaching and mentoring to develop confidence, capability and future skills
  • Communicating sustainability goals clearly and building trust
  • Leading change responsibly and encouraging innovation
  • Setting clear sustainability objectives and supporting continuous improvement
  • Developing self-awareness through a DISC profile and one-to-one coaching

What’s next?

After completing this programme, you can progress on to a Level 3 or Level 5 CMI or CIPD course to continue your professional development in leadership and management.
