With the summer holidays now almost behind us, it’s time to look towards Welcome Week. Not sure exactly what Welcome Week entails? Don’t worry – read on to find out everything that you need to know.
Running from Monday September 6th – Friday 10th, Welcome Week is the perfect opportunity for all our new students to settle in and get familiar with their new surroundings. Expect to be given your timetable, meet your fellow classmates and tutors, and be provided with all the information that you’ll need as a newcomer.
What if I have questions?
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions – throughout Welcome Week, and beyond! We encourage you to be curious, so seek and you shall find out. All members of staff want to make sure that you feel comfortable and understand what is expected of you during your time at College, so no question is too big or small.
What do I need to bring with me?
Be sure to bring in the usual items like a notepad and some stationery so that you’re able to write down any important information, as well as a water bottle which you can refill at our numerous water fountains throughout campus.
Remember to also bring in some lunch and snacks, or some money to buy food if you’re not taking anything from home. Across both campuses, we have places on site where you can purchase food, like the refectory, The Brasserie, The Brasserie Coffee Shop, and vending machines.
When do I need to come into College during Welcome Week?
Depending on which course you’re enrolled on, you will be required to come in at different times during the week. Some of our larger courses will be split into smaller groups; you’ll find this out via your tutor if you don’t know already.
Take a look at our Welcome Week page to see a detailed breakdown of the days and times you’ll be onsite, depending on your course.
