Whilst you wait for your GCSE results to come through, why not get yourself organised in preparation for starting College? Below, we’ve compiled a list of the different ways in which you can get yourself ready for starting with us in September.

1. Work out how you can get to us

Whether you live in Milton Keynes or live just outside of the area, there’s plenty of ways that you can travel to College, whether this be to Chaffron Way or Bletchley campus. You can travel by public transport, bike, or car, where each campus has secure bike racks and car parks. At reception, we also have a taxi button that you can use if you need some help getting home.

If you are planning to travel by bus, you may be eligible for some big savings on your tickets. Arriva currently offer discounted Student Saver Tickets, and Milton Keynes Council offer the All-in-1 MK Card. Find out more about the schemes, how to apply, and more detailed information about your travel options by visiting www.mkcollege.ac.uk/student-info/travel.

2. Take a look around our facilities

It’s a good idea to make yourself familiar with the new environment that you will be spending a lot of your time in come September, so that you don’t feel like a fish out of water on your first day.

If you weren’t able to make it to one of our open events to view the campuses and their facilities, don’t worry – click here to get a 360 tour of either Chaffron Way or Bletchley campus and take a look at some of the different facilities that you will have access to as a student here.

3. Find out how you could get financial support

There are numerous ways in which you can get help with fees and funding whilst studying with us at College should you need it. Get advice about applying for funding, and assess whether you are eligible for financial aid here.

4. Order the required uniform

Depending on the course that you’re wanting to study, may be required to wear a uniform or buy a kit. It’s best to order these in advance so that you are well prepared for your first day. View the list of courses that require a uniform here and select the correct order form.

5. Your options on results day

If you have made an application to one of our courses and have received a course offer by email, we will send you a second email that is due to be sent on Wednesday 11th August so that you can enrol online. However, if you need to update your email address for any reason, please contact us.

If you find yourself in the situation where you didn’t get the results you anticipated, our tutors will be in touch to discuss your options. But don’t stress – our Offer Guarantee means that you will secure a place on one of our courses at College, and we will be here to support you all the way.

Haven’t made an application with us yet? That’s ok too! Come along to one of our upcoming Advisory Days where we will help you to find a suitable course. You will need to book an appointment to visit us during Advisory Days.

6. Got any questions before you start?
