Understanding Course Levels
Entry Level
A starting point for adults who are new to learning or need to build confidence. These courses focus on essential life and learning skills, including English and maths.
Equivalent to: Below GCSE level.
Best for: Beginners, those with little formal education, or limited English.
Level 1
An introduction to a subject or industry, helping learners develop basic knowledge and practical skills. Courses also support key life skills like communication and problem-solving.
Equivalent to: GCSE grades 1–3 (D–G).
