Valencia 2027: International Work Experience Opportunity

As a university level student at MK College, you have an exciting opportunity to join this part-funded two-week overseas placement programme in Valencia, Spain.

This opportunity is designed to help you build valuable employability skills, gain international experience and enhance your confidence in a professional environment while experiencing life in one of Spain’s most vibrant cities.

What you’ll experience

Throughout the programme, you will take part in structured placement activities designed to develop your professional skills, cultural awareness and confidence. Alongside your placement, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Valencia and experience Spanish culture through organised visits and activities. Students will be required to maintain journals and digital portfolios to record and reflect on personal and professional development.

Getting ready for Turing

Before travelling, you’ll take part in pre-departure training covering professional communication, workplace expectations, cultural awareness and problem-solving, helping you make the most of the experience from day one.

Throughout the visit, you’ll be supported by two MK College tutors and local placement representatives, ensuring you have guidance both academically and personally during your time abroad.

Cost information

The programme is valued at approximately £1,500 per student (includes flights and accommodation). Students will contribute £800, with the remaining costs covered through programme funding.

Eligible students receiving the MK College University Level bursary may choose to use part of this funding towards the trip, reducing their personal contribution.

Students are responsible for their own spending money.
