This is a beginner-friendly course that introduces you to the basics of photography using both film and digital methods. You’ll learn how to use different types of cameras, work with lighting, edit images, and plan creative photo shoots. Course Highlights
You’ll work in our photography studios and Mac suites, using industry-standard cameras and editing software. Our experienced tutors, who have worked in the photography industry, will support you throughout the course.
How will my progress be monitored?
You’ll get regular verbal feedback during sessions. You’ll also receive written feedback halfway through and again at the end of the course to help you improve your creative work.
How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed through a digital portfolio that shows your creative photography work.
How much will I have to study each week?
You’ll be in college for 3 hours a week for practical sessions. You’ll also need to spend around 1.5 hours a week doing independent study to document and develop your work.
