University-Level Induction Days
Wednesday 17th September and Thursday 18th September | Starting at 10am
Starting your University Level course is a fresh start, full of opportunity, and we’re here to make sure you feel confident, connected, and ready to go!
Join us for two engaging induction days where you’ll meet your tutors, connect with fellow students, and get to know the systems, support, and opportunities available to you at MK College.
What to expect:
Day 1: Wednesday 17th September | Start: 10:00am
Welcome & Course Introduction: Start your day with a warm welcome from your course tutors and Heads of School. The morning will include:
- Meeting your course team and classmates
- Get an overview of your course and how it’s structured
- Take part in fun team-building activities
- Learn about student support, bursaries, and wellbeing services
- Explore your campus with a fun orienteering challenge
Please note: For our Engineering students, we will provide transport to and from our Bletchley/IoT campus.
Day 2: Thursday 18th September | Start: 10:00am
Getting Ready to Study: This day focuses on the practical tools and skills you’ll need to succeed:
- Introduction to college IT systems
- Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) overview
- Assessment and assignment guidance
- Academic skills support
- Work experience overview
- Orienteering task at Chaffron Way campus
Things to do before your induction…
We are looking forward to meeting you on your induction days and making sure you can log into your college accounts at the start of your college journey.
To make this process quicker and easier, please download the Microsoft Teams App, Microsoft Authenticator App, and MyMKC App to your phone before you come. These can be found on Google Play and the App Store. You will be shown how to log in with your college credentials on induction day.
Please remember, you will not be able to log in to these applications before your induction day.
