Course overview

This Applied General Level 3 qualification will provide a learner with a flavour of a range of Information Technology areas. It is an ideal study programme for individuals who are yet to decide their specialist pathway in Computing but want to progress to Higher Education (IoT/University) or Apprenticeships (Level 4 or higher).

What will I do?

You will have the opportunity to study a wide range of practical subjects, including Database Design and Management, Programming, Website Development, Spreadsheet Modelling, Cyber Security, IT Support and Management, Enterprise in IT, IT Project Management, and more. These sessions will be taught in our IT labs by individuals who have worked within the IT industry.

What’s next?

Higher Education at the South Central Institute of Technology (HNC/HND Digital Technologies) or University (Bachelors in Computer Science)

Higher (L4/L5) Apprenticeships (pathways include Data Analyst, Software Developer, Cyber Security Technologist, etc.

Is it for me?

Learners best suited to Digital are those with a passion for technology, a logical thinker, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
