Course overview

Construction is everywhere and Milton Keynes is a hotspot for development. From housing, highways, warehousing and rail it is at the centre of the UK’s growing infrastructure, and you can be a part of it with our intermediate bricklaying course.

Construction is a lot more than just building, on our bricklaying course you’re learning to make homes for families, schools for children, hospitals for your community, and constantly improving and upgrading them as the industry develops.

What will I do?

From garden walls, to skyscrapers, this course will give you the foundation you need to get building. Covering everything from building basic masonry structures and cavity walling to construction technology, you will learn in a real life working environment both at the College and out in industry.

There will be opportunities for work experience within your bricklaying course too, with trips to working construction sites and visits from specialist guest speakers.

What’s next?

At the end of your bricklaying course you will have gained enough valuable work experience and industry contacts to kick off your career in the industry. You could also continue your studies, developing your skillset in your chosen trade.

Is it for me?

If you’re looking for a bricklaying course in Milton Keynes, you’re in the right place.

Do you prefer working with your hands rather than being behind a desk all day? There’s no denying that a career in this industry is primarily physical however, there are excellent progression opportunities within management and leadership too.

This bricklaying course will suit people with a good eye for detail and the drive to complete work to the highest standards. Working as part of a team and a commitment to health and safety measures are also really important skills for anyone interested in this course.
