MK College offers flexible courses in Management and Leadership
Milton Keynes College has partnered with Mindful Education to deliver flexible new online and on-campus courses in Management & Leadership at levels 3 and 5.
Delivered in partnership with the College, the Chartered Management Institute courses combine the flexibility of online learning with the benefits of face-to-face sessions in the classroom, allowing students to fit their studies around work and life commitments.
Head of School for Professional Pathways at MK College Elspeth Woods said: “We are delighted to be providing these courses, which offer students the best of both worlds. We know that managers have busy lives, especially in the current climate, and we recognise the importance of flexible learning for professionals looking to develop the skills and knowledge they need to progress their career while juggling work and other commitments.”
Mindful Education specialises in creating media-rich professional courses and apprenticeships in management, accounting, law and human resources.
Managing Director at Mindful Education Mark Mckenna said: “We are thrilled to partner with Milton Keynes College to help deliver their part-time professional courses and apprenticeships. Like us, the team at Milton Keynes know first-hand the type of work and life commitments part-time learners and apprentices contend with on a daily basis and therefore how important flexibility is when it comes to their studies.
“By offering online and on-campus programmes, learners will have at least 50% less travel time and associated costs. The intention is that the combination of high-quality online and on-campus learning will break down some important barriers for learners and therefore widen access in the Milton Keynes area. We’re enjoying working with the progressive team at Milton Keynes College and we look forward to building on the successful AAT qualifications launched earlier in the year.”

Note regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19): Due to the nature of our Online and On Campus apprenticeships, with key concepts being taught online through high-quality video lectures, apprentices are able to continue their studies seamlessly with social distancing in place. Some regular ‘On Campus’ lessons can be replaced by remote ‘virtual classroom’ sessions led by college tutors. This flexible approach can be easily adapted to suit government guidance and college policies.
