Personal Training Advanced

Health and fitness has never been more prevalent in society than it is today. With obesity rates at an all-time high, there is a national focus on physical and mental health. There has never been a better time to get into the personal training industry for someone with the right mind set. With a range of specialist certificates available to set you apart from the rest, this course will offer you entry to the Register of Exercise Professionals at Level 3.
What will I do?
From learning about the anatomy and physiology for exercise and health, to planning gym-based exercise plans, to delivering personal training sessions, you will learn the ins and outs of the personal fitness industry, being taught by professional lecturers and tutors. Working in the gym, the personal training studio and the classroom, you will become a well-rounded personal trainer with both business acumen and the relevant fitness knowledge. You will learn about pursuing a career in the fitness industry through studying business and sales in health and fitness. You will become confident in offering nutrition and diet advice, in addition to sports condition and client communications.
On successful completion you can progress onto the Health and Fitness Foundation degree or could even go on to start your own business. Some examples of opportunities that are available to you include Health and Nutritionist, Teacher or Lecturer, Leisure Manager, Gym Manager, Personal Trainer and many more.

This qualification will give you the opportunity to develop industry specific knowledge on how the Health and Fitness industry operates with a particular focus on you becoming a highly skilled Health and Fitness professional. Whilst studying this course, you will focus on developing yourself to be a professional, knowledgeable and effective personal trainer. You will be able to start your own business and ensure your clients know the impact of a healthy lifestyle, and how they can achieve this.
Please note you must be at least 17 years of age to study this course.
If you are under 19 and do not have a minimum of a grade 4/C in GCSE English and Maths, you will be required to resit these GCSE exams and attend GCSE lessons as part of the Personal Training programme.
