These insights combine with real-life scenarios, preparing students to make a real impact in the workplace.

The programme includes 4 x modules studied over 7 months.  The modules include core behaviours for people professionals; Business, culture and change in context, and Principles of analytics.  There is also a comprehensive unit covering the Essentials of people practice.  Enrolments are now open.  Please apply online and that will enable you to have a conversation with a tutor as soon as possible.

What’s next?

This qualification is the entry-level to the profession and employers do like their HR teams to have at least this qualification. You will learn the foundations of HR practice and with experience can progress to CIPD L5 Diploma in People Management and study the management of HR.  As you progress to more strategic roles in HRM you may then wish to consider the CIPD L7 Advanced Diploma in Strategic People Management

Is it for me?

Our students are motivated and keen to learn. some students will have many years’ experience and just need the qualification to progress in their career, others may be considering a career change into HR and want to learn more. Our students are all ages and backgrounds and we will helo support everyone in their studies.

What everyone shares is a passion for the delivery of effective HR that contributes to business success. You will need to be flexible in your approach as the delivery is a blend of the evening sessions and the occasional Saturday morning. In the current circumstances, classes may be on campus or delivered remotely using our TEAMS platform. This gives all os us the flexibility and options to continue to engage with out learning no matter what.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Each of the 4 modules will be assessed through an assignment focused on the learning outcomes for the module. Typically, around 2,500-3,000 words it could be a case study, a presentation with notes, some practical elements or written report.

HOW WILL MY PROGRESS BE MONITORED?

You will work with various tutors, each of whom has specialist experience in particular areas.  You will have regular 1:1s with tutors, at least one per term about your progress. Your written work is assessed by your tutor and you will receive constructive feedback to help you  develop your skills.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE ANYTHING?

Your course fees do not include your student membership of CIPD which is mandatory for everyone studying CIPD qualifications.  If you are not already in membership and your subscription up to date, you will need to pay this directly to CIPD shortly after your course commences.  The amount may vary depending on your circumstances, but you should budget for approx. £185.
