LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN PRINCIPLES OF CUSTOMER SERVICE
What will I do?
This course covers topics fundamental to the delivery of excellent customer service. It is suitable for all sectors and can help develop the learner’s understanding of the importance of customer service to both colleagues and external contacts.
The Certificate in Customer Service comprises of seven units:
- Unit 1 – Principles of customer service and delivery
- Unit 2 – Understand customers
- Unit 3 – Understand how to communicate work-related information
- Unit 4 – Understand how to communicate with customers
- Unit 5 – Understand how to develop customer relationships
- Unit 6 – Understand how to resolve problems and deliver customer service to challenging customers
- Unit 7 – Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues
*Funding is subject to learners meeting set eligibility criteria; this may be discussed prior to the start of any course. Learners must be aged 19+ and have lived in the EU for the past three years. Please note that a withdrawal fee of £90 is payable if learners decide to withdraw from the course.
By undertaking this course, you will gain formal recognition by obtaining a nationally recognised qualification. This will enable you to further your own continuous professional development, which could support you in improving your career prospects. You can also progress onto further qualifications.
Is it for me?
This course provides the underpinning knowledge that is required by employees to work in a range of different environments within a customer service role. Students will be able to apply this knowledge in a variety of industries and job roles.
HOW MUCH WILL I HAVE TO STUDY EACH WEEK?
The course duration is 10 weeks, and requires three to four hours of study per week. Course start dates are flexible, but learners are expected to successfully complete the programme of study within the allocated timescale.
WHAT KIND OF QUALIFICATION IS THIS?
Learners will receive a nationally recognised qualification by successfully completing this course. The Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Customer Service is awarded by NCFE.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
The course requires two assessments to be completed and passed to achieve the qualification. Students are allocated a tutor who will mark their assessments, and can be contacted by telephone or email if required.
ARE THERE ANY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
Students must be at least 19 years of age to enrol for the course.
Applicants aged 19-23 are eligible if they have already achieved a full Level 2 qualification or equivalent. Please contact us for clarification if required.
Applicants aged 24+ do not require any prior academic qualifications, but need a reasonable level of English language ability in order to complete a distance learning course.
Applicants must have lived in the EU for the last three years, currently reside in England, with a postcode outside of Greater Manchester, Liverpool City, Cambridge & Peterborough, Tees Valley, and the West Midlands. Please contact providers in your local area for alternative options.
