T Level: Education and Early years
INTRODUCTION
Equivalent to 3 A levels, the 2-year course has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure the content prepares learners for the world of work and meets industry needs. The purpose of the T Level Technical Qualification in Education and Childcare is to ensure students have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training relevant to the T Level.
Please note: T Levels are only available for students that will be 16-18 whilst studying the qualification.
What will I do
This course involves a substantial industry placement with an external employer. Once you complete the course, you will have a licence to practice education and childcare in your career. You will take advantage of our brand new specialist care rooms at our Chaffron Way campus, learning from a combination of our very own experienced tutors, and your mentors within your work placement. The units you can expect to cover include:

What’s next?
This course is designed to help you get into employment. You could progress to become a:
– Early Years Practitioner
– Early Years Educator
– Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Teaching
You could also progress onto university or higher education to further your learning, depending on your goals. You could also progress on to an apprenticeship.

Entry requirements: You require 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including Science, Maths and English Language.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE ANYTHING?
You will be required to purchase a text book for £32.99 and uniform for the course, View Order Form
You might be able to apply for a bursary to help you with the cost of these.
You require 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English Language.
HOW MUCH WILL I HAVE TO STUDY?
You will have three days in college and two days in an industry placement.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
You will be set assignments, mock exams and observations in the placement.
